Dr. Jason D. Adams

A note from Dr. Adams

I opened this practice in 2005 because I believed the women of our community deserved care that doesn't rush them out the door. Twenty-one years later, that's still the whole idea.

How care works

From the first call to follow-ups at home.

  1. 1A conversation with our teamYour first step is a consultation with one of our experienced staff. We talk briefly about how you feel, gather your medical history, and order the lab work you need.
  2. 2Your provider reviews everythingYour provider reviews your concerns, medical history and labs, then messages you directly through your secure FollowMyHealth portal to continue the conversation about the right treatment plan.
  3. 3Meet your provider in personYou meet your provider at our Gonzales office to answer any remaining questions, then begin the treatment plan you agreed on together.
  4. 4Follow-ups, your wayFollow-up appointments can be in person at our Gonzales office or, when appropriate, by telehealth.

Questions patients ask first

Straight answers, written by our own providers.

Is the consultation really free?

Yes. It is free, and there is no obligation — a chance to talk to a real person about your goals and how we can help.

Do I need a referral to be seen?

No referral is needed to request a consultation — just reach out and we guide you from there. If your specific insurance plan ever requires one for a particular service, we tell you on your call.

What happens at the first visit?

It starts with a real conversation about how you feel and what you want to change. Your provider reviews your history, orders labs when clinically appropriate, and explains everything in plain language before any plan is made — and gives you time to decide.

What are hormone pellets?

Tiny, custom-dosed pellets placed under the skin in a brief office procedure. They release hormones steadily for roughly three to four months — no daily creams or weekly shots to remember.

Will I be talked into treatments I don't need?

No. We are an independent, physician-owned medical practice, not a sales floor. We recommend only what is clinically appropriate, and you are always free to take time to decide.

Education Center

The hormone answers women can’t find anywhere else.

Most of what is written about women’s hormones online is written to sell something. Ours isn’t. Every article is written by one of our own clinicians and signed off by Dr. Adams before it publishes — sources cited, uncomfortable parts left in.

Follow-ups online, anywhere in Louisiana

You don’t have to live in Gonzales to be our patient.

Meet us once in Gonzales, then follow-ups for hormone therapy, menopause care, TRT and weight loss happen by secure video, with labs arranged near you. Peptide consultations can start by video.

Good to know: we accept Blue Cross Blue Shield and Aetna, which cover most office visits, including hormone consultations — and every cost question is answered during your free consultation.
